I love sharing stories like Rebeka’s in Her Own Two Feet. That’s what this blog is all about. My stories. Other people’s stories. Writing stories for children. Once upon a time I told the story of our family traveling around the world for nine and a half months. You can find those here at Faces in the Street.

Today I did the last of 18 author visits, 18 schoo Today I did the last of 18 author visits, 18 schools in 5 days and by the grace of God all tech worked and every group of students was unique and amazing. Seriously, Richardson ISD is incredible, so are librarians, and so is @altrusarichardson who coordinated to bring me. So thankful for people who drove me and prepared the kids. So many butterflies. So much gratitude. Murakoze.

Love this kindness quote in the Yale Elementary li Love this kindness quote in the Yale Elementary library (my alma mater😊) and love the Kindness Libraries @altrusarichardson is gifting to schools in RISD! An author visit can look so many different ways, a library, an auditorium, so many different faces and places but no matter who or where Rebeka’s story really seems to resonate with these kids. They ask such thoughtful questions. Grateful to the librarians in their lives, and the women from Altrusa I’ve met. Loved visiting RISD Academy, Spring Valley and Yale today!
