One of my favorite Rebeka pictures was this one taken Christmas morning, a combo of shock/joy/surprise/excitement (scroll to see what she’s so excited about). Rebeka was a big fan of Curious George from the beginning, we think partly because on the animated show George “spoke” in monkey sounds instead of words, and so Rebeka didn’t need to know English to understand what was going on. We gave her a Curious George stuffed animal (normal-sized) for her bday, and that little monkey came with her to the hospital for surgeries. The giant-sized Georgie was just as much a thrill for us to give as it was for her to receive! There are so many more good Rebeka stories in our book, Her Own Two Feet (and it makes a great Christmas gift, too, if you don’t have room for giant stuffed animals 😊)
